I’m not sure which one I would pick but my theme is transportation this year so I would Love to find something with cars, boats, trains, on it!
A winter theme for our Winter performance, or a Summer theme for our Spring performance…. I love nature inspired backgrounds 🙂
don’t hold me to it because if i win i’d let my boss pick (he owns the studio after all) but i like “central park in winter” 🙂 there are so many lovely ones!!
Our theme this year is about colors and painting, so something colorful or whimsical.
My next ballet is abstract, so I think I’d be most interested in the backdrop called “Painted Drapery” SKU: S3013.
This is a fantastic FREEBIE giveaway and I will definitely remember Grosh going forward!
I would love a toy shop for our Magic Toy shop performance to make our
show really shine!
Michele
I absolutely love the “Fireworks” backdrop, on the waterfront, in the Celebration category! Would be great for a show in July and possibly anytime of the year, really!
I checked out the Grosh website. They have quite a large selection of backdrops. I would choose a forest backdrop. Our show revolves around the story “The Giving Tree” this year. I had the pleasure of taking the Dance Teachers Web workshop in Las Vegas this summer and they had backdrops in each of the rooms it made class fun to have such huge drops behind the master teacher. I love freebies yes I do.
Thank you Nichelle and Dance Advantage for letting Grosh Backdrops be a part of this wonderful giving thanks giveaway event!
I would choose something from there Nutcracker selection- we rent ours every year, and this would be quite a savings to have one of our very own!!
Gosh I love freebies, and this one is fantastic!!! 🙂
I love Grosh! We’ve been using them for the last 5+ years. I love the traditional draperies – especially the Austrian Puff… but if I were choosing a backdrop, I would go with an abstract one.
I would love to use one about dancing — perhaps the musical top hats. Our theme is dancing through the ages this year so we would definitely love to use a great backdrop to enhance our student recital. To own it would be awesome as we would not need to worry about a backdrop rental for some time.
Thanks to Grosh and their family of talented aritsans for the offering! I hope I win! That would be awesome to bring to the studio!
I actually really just love the simple blue mottle photo backing. It’s big enough to cover the stage, but is completely clean and the possibilities out how to play things in front of the backdrop are endless. It’s classy, clean, and simple! And sure beats the standard black drapes we have now!
ANY of them would make it awesome! we’ve NEVER had anything except lights and curtains!
this would be a dream!
I almost always end up with a forest drop! Love Grosh’s forests! And I love freebies, but I would particularly like this one.
I’ve never used a backdrop but, I have thought about it. I would like a backdrop that preschoolers would love!! And they love everything that happy!!
I’ve looked at these but never been able to afford one, and with so much of our lighting coming from the syc always thought it would not be effective on our stage…but if I won this fabulous freebie, I’d find a way to offset that problem! Our theme this year is a generic “Lights, Music, Dance!” …which I’m finding difficult to come up with design for so something beautiful in a backdrop would go a long way to solve that problem.
FInances are always tough. It’d be so nice to have a backdrop for our christmas performance! The snow scene would be perfect for our opening scene!
I am the choreographer for a Children’s Theater and we are going to do the musical Rapunzel for our spring production. It would be awesome to have a professional backdrop for that show!
Nutcracker is always an extremely useful backdrop! I bet all of your backdrops are gorgeous, though! 🙂 Thank you for extending your freebie day! I meant to get on yesterday & didn’t make it. 🙂
Don’t hold me to this either as it really is up to our studio owner-but we are doing an original ballet titled “The Princess Story” this spring and so would probably want something with a castle theme. I would surprise her though and let her pick if i were to win this.
There are so many good ones. Don’t know if I’d go with a nature scene or a heaven scene.
So many to choose from! This is a freebie I would love to have.
We are doing Dreamgirls with the theatre department this spring so any backdrop that would help with that would be great.
A really spectacular freebie…we would love a great broadway backdrop for our spring show!
So many choices. This year we will be having two different themed recitals. A fantasy backdrop like the Mushrooms or a woodland scene would work well for our younger student recital while one of the “Through the Decades” backdrops would be great for our two older-dancer shows. All of the backdrops are gorgeous and would certainly enhance our production value for not only our live shows and local audience but their permanent and immediate afterlife on our HeartBeatsCenter YouTube Channel where all of our shows are enjoyed by friends and family around the world, especially our many parents serving overseas in the military.
