Once again, a group of fabulous dance bloggers turned up for our contest.
Once again, readers turned up to vote for their favorites and found new blogs to follow.
Once again, I saw bloggers out supporting each other, illustrating that the dance blogosphere is thriving and teeming with people passionate about dance.

Business Blog
And, as always, Ashani Mfuko in a class by herself.
I want to say thanks again to ALL who entered regardless of where they are in their blogging ‘career’.
It takes a certain amount of bravery to step up and be counted, so to speak. Please, if you haven’t already, visit the list of 32 blogs who participated (the significance of the number 32 is not lost on the bunheads out there).
Editor’s Choice
This proved very difficult for me because even I discovered new blogs through the contest this year. Plus some blogs are just very new.
In the end, I went with a blog that I feel has consistently shown a clear focus, delivering material that is valuable to its readers in a fun but thoughtful way. I’ve enjoyed watching this blog develop and wish for its longevity.
Though ALL 32 blogs show great promise, I chose…
Congrats to All!
I’ll be contacting winners with badges to put on their sites and with questions for your feature!
Our Top 20 winner, Ballet to the People will be highlighted individually. Meanwhile our category winners and Editor’s choice will be featured together.
We’d love your feedback on the contest in the comments.
I know that with the holidays, the end of the year is a tough time for the contest. I’ve been thinking about moving it up to early December. Knowing that there’s never a perfect time for everyone, feel free to weigh in on this, or other details of the contest.
Have suggestions? Ways to improve? I’ll take ‘em!
Want to congratulate the winners? Compare to last year? Do it!

Awww, thanks Nichelle for choosing The Dance Buzz as Editor’s Choice – I was surprised and humbled – there are many awesome dance blogs that entered this year!
Thanks again for doing this contest – so much fun to see all the new blogs each year!

Congrats to all of the winners! And all the blog that entered!
Thank you Nichelle for hosting the contest again this year. I’ve been introduced to a number of great new blogs

Rogue Ballerina
Excited to receive my new badge, but most of all excited about having more dance blogs to read. Thank you for bringing us all together!
Congratulations to all who participated and to those who won! And thanks for hosting the contest again, Nichelle!
As well as being so delighted yet excited about winning my category and receiving the badge, this has also meant meeting great dance bloggers out there, who I can relate and talk to, thank you again! xo
Thanks Nichelle for hosting the contest. I discovered some great new blogs and increased my readership quite a bit. I can’t wait to get my badge to put on my blog!
Congrats to all the winners and have a great year of blogging.
Suggestion: not sure if it’s possible, but for non-savvy internet folk, many did not realize that after they voted in the overall favorite poll that they had to hit their browser’s back button and vote again in the individual categories. Any way to vote all at once?
Congrats to everyone, great to see so many new, and some already well known, blogs and sites coming up! I’m looking forward to peeking into all the new sites!!!!
Many thanks, Nichelle, and all you ballet fans out there… Embarrassed to say I am still wrestling with the technicalities of uploading my badge, will be sending an SOS to my crackerjack I.T. support team a.k.a. Teenage Daughters. The truth is, I am finding it much more fun to read through everyone’s fascinating blogs than to do jujitsu with my WordPress Dashboard. I had no idea there were so many clever dance writers out there coming from such different backgrounds and points of view.
Amazing job people. Keep going and good luck in future.
Was this strictly for classical dance blogs as I don’t see any streetdance blogs on here? Its a shame as there are some really great streetdance blogs sharing great knowledge and insight into the different facets of street culture. I hope to enter myself next time.
Nope, not strictly. Since we mostly blog about concert dance forms and studio instruction here at Dance Advantage, it’s that crowd that tends to gravitate. But all are welcome to enter!
When will top dance blog competition start again for 2012?
I’ve moved it to January! Stay tuned
